The KOIN Advisory Panel was formed in 2010 to assist the Cabinet for Health and Family Services/Kentucky Department for Public Health (CHFS/DPH) by sharing specialized advice and consultation about the communication needs of hard-to-reach Kentuckians. KOIN Advisory Panel members provide input and consultation on strategies and activities for expanding and strengthening the KOIN. They also serve as an information conduit from the grassroots level to the state and assist CHFS/DPH in accurately understanding the challenges faced by KOIN members and the resources they need when reaching out to Kentuckys diverse at-risk populations.
