H1N1 Update Telebriefing for Media Archived, H1N1-Related Deaths in Ky. at 36

The flu activity chart has also been updated with new H1N1-related deaths. Kentucky now has 36 reported H1N1-related deaths, with the latest involving a Pike County resident who had underlying health conditions.

Telebriefing Update on 2009 H1N1 Influenza (Swine Flu) for Media Statewide THURSDAY

Who: Department for Public Health (DPH) Commissioner William Hacker, M.D. and DPH State Epidemiologist Kraig Humbaugh, M.D.

What: Telephone briefing to provide an update on state response and planning activities related to H1N1 flu (swine flu).

When: 1:30 p.m. EST, Dec. 10

Where: Reporters should call in a few minutes early to 1-877-746-4263 and enter participant code 0228695# to join the call. Reporters will be on listen-only mode, but can e-mail questions for presenters to Gwenda.Bond@ky.gov or BarbaraJ.Fox@ky.gov before or during the call.
