The level of influenza activity in Kentucky is now sporadic, the lowest level reporting flu activity. The chart showing State Public Health Laboratory-confirmed cases of flu and confirmed H1N1-related deaths reported in Kentucky has been updated.

H1N1-related deaths were added this week from Kenton, Taylor and Christian Counties, bringing the state's reported total to 39. The newly reported deaths from Kenton and Taylor Counties occurred in early November and early December of 2009. All the individuals involved had underlying medical conditions.
