New Television PSA Features Governor Steve Beshear and PBS’ “Sid the Science Kid” Urging Americans to Get Vaccinated against the H1N1 Flu
On Monday, December 14, Surgeon General of the U.S. Regina Benjamin will join Kentucky’s Commissioner of Public Health Dr. William Hacker in announcing a new H1N1 public service announcement (PSA) campaign urging Kentuckians to get vaccinated against the H1N1 flu. In the PSA, Governor Beshear teams up with one of America’s favorite scientists – PBS’ “Sid the Science Kid” – to promote important flu messages targeted at children and parents.
Dr. Benjamin, Dr. Hacker, Dr. Anne Schuchat from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will discuss the 2009 H1N1 flu vaccination program, the new PSA campaign and will take questions from the media.
