Kentucky's current flu activity level is sporadic. Sporadic activity is defined as small numbers of laboratory-confirmed influenza cases or a single laboratory-confirmed influenza outbreak is reported, but there is no increase in cases of influenza-like illness (ILI).

The flu activity level is submitted by the Department for Public Health to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention weekly as part of the national flu surveillance system. During the flu season this flu activity level webpage is updated each Tuesday, if there is a change from the previous week.
