The level of influenza activity in Kentucky remains at widespread activity. The chart showing State Public Health Laboratory-confirmed cases of flu and confirmed H1N1-related deaths reported in Kentucky has been updated.

H1N1-related deaths were reported this week in McCreary and Marion counties, bringing the state's total to 35 reported deaths associated with H1N1. Both the individuals involved had underlying medical conditions.

Kentucky has been allocated 1,005,500 doses of H1N1 vaccine to date, with 824,300 doses of that total having shipped to health departments and other providers across the state. The next telebriefing update on H1N1 for media will be held Thursday, Dec. 10. An advisory will be sent out early next week.
